I was on the road from Agra to Delhi the day that the country was declared the world’s worst for women. Travelling solo, I’d had my fair-share of disconcerting stares . Still, I didn’t want to let my fear lessen my contact with India. The company of travellers I met along the way, including domestic tourists, eased the hassle that comes with being a woman travelling solo and allowed me to stop, pull out my lens and soak in my surroundings.
